Had to fix the wipers parking in the middle of the windshield issue so of course had to remove the cowl piece.
I discovered that the hamfists who replaced my windshield a year or so ago broke the mounting tabs that slide under the glass, along with the slots above the vent screen and cracked the thing nearly in half in that area as well. What I get for not inspecting before paying.
Anyway, of course discontinued by GM some time ago. But are available new. Not cheap! And interestingly, no matter who has them for sale, all point to the same web page description.
Prices vary, but all approx $300 by the time it's shipped.
I didn't find any used ones.
Anybody bend over and buy one of these NOS ones?
Should add, I fixed the park issue at least.......
Try car-part.com. It is a search site for parts from salvaged or wrecked cars. They have millions of parts. Car yards from the entire U.S and Canada list their parts inventory. Most listings have photos. The prices are much cheaper than aftermarket or new,OEM. I wanted a 2020 seat for my 2016 Colorado. I found the exact seat needed from a business in Toronto. It came out of a wrecked GMC all-terrain. Shipped and arrived in 4 days. Highly recommend.
