oil temp
Just curious, what oil temp for a LS base engine is safe before WOT and and how many miles on oil is out of the safe Wot. !000hp to 300hp
and whats ur oil psi
Y im asking is every day i take the same way where i make a left turn and there is a stretch of road where i can bang 1, 2 safely.. I start my car first thing in the morning and take off and no warming up by the i get to my turn my oil temp is always between 75 to 90. I never checked what the temp until yesterday. So let me know what u guys think. Probably wont get a-lot of answers because this pretty technical , but if get one ill be happy.

I have owned 4 HP+ cars (3 Vetts, 442) and never bothered to worry about oil temp in these or any of my cars when I decided to put the metal to the floor. But, I have not taken the cars to a track. Maybe there is an issue with oil heat and track day. .

Its not just temperature, but making sure everything has a nice coat of oil on it (valvetrain) before hammering on it to reduce wear. I drive mine gentle until about 140-150° oil temp.
