Fuel leak Jet pump return line
Well after much swearing, some bloodletting, I found my fuel leak. This is the jetpump return line. I would really like to meet the engineer who designed this setup to explain my feelings about it! My question is options. Has anyone on this forum ever successfully spliced on of these type wear holes with any available kit? Several used ones are listed on fleabay for approximately $70. I know new is not an option. With this being the JP return line it shouldn't have too much pressure on it while running I think. I have never worked with nylon line before and am a little intimidated by it due to application and having to put a bend in it. It also looks like the chafing is due to rubbing against sharp point on frame which my arm can attest to. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

I just don't get this ******. The other day they tore up up my garbage can and the bottom of my garage door seal. I fix my neighbors tube just like ur. His base psi was 55psi. I told him it was a bad idea, so i consulted grinder 11 and he said he does it all the time. Well the first time he was right. I guess he wasn't drinking that day. No ,but seriously, i did that, man its got to be 10yrs. I cut it and pushed rubber gas line hose that was rated to 85psi i believe about 1.5" to 2" on both side of the tube. Just try to butt the hard tubes together but not necessary as long as u get 2" pushed on each side if u get 2". i thought he had the screw type hose clamp but he had the ones where u squeeze then together. This is a grinder 11 move using the wrong clamps. Will i"ll tell u i could not pull the hoses apart. Probably didn't even need clamps. But to answer ur question yes u could fix it safety
