Hi folks. I have a 2003 Coupe with factory fog lights. I bought the car last August 2021 and just now noticed that the fog lights aren't working. The headlights, taillights, side marker lamps, running lights, .....everything else seems to be fine. But when I put the headlight switch in the parking light or low beam positions and push the fog light switch, nothing happens. The indicator light on the switch doesn't work either. Do the fog lights have their own fuse? Thanks in advance for your help.........Steve Snider
Hi Steve. Do you have an Owners Manual for your 03?
My 04 manual says this:
Your vehicle may have this feature. Use the fog lamps
for better vision in foggy or misty conditions. Your
parking lamps or low-beam headlamps must be on or
the fog lamps will not work.
The fog fuse in my O4 is #6 in the engine compartment fuse holder.
Thanks Ron. My owner's manual didn't indicate that the fog lights had only one fuse.....or what fuse controlled them. I'll check and see if it's blown. Take care....Steve
Although I am not an electrical expert especially on the C5, that would be my next focus. If replacing the relay does not work, then I would suspect the problem is the fog light switch. Maybe someone else with more knowledge can help. Electrical issues are a pain to sort out. Ron
