Replaced outside ambient temperature sensor on my c5. Sometimes blowing cold sometimes not. Does the inside temperature sensor control this??
The inside sensor does not control the AC...if the outside temp is above 37 degrees the AC should work...why was the sensor changed ??...do you hear the compressor "click" when the AC is turned on...what is the AC light doing when the AC is turned on ??...I'd also scan for codes through the DIC if you can...may help in a diagnosis !!
I changed it because I thought it wasn't registering the outside temperature/ To answer your questions, light on a/c controls is on? the compressor is on? Blower fan is working on all speeds. It seems if it sits outside (and the temperature here is 80-85) It does not blow cold right away, takes a while? I see no leaks or nothing wet under the hood?

If the car is sitting outside it may take a minute or so to feel cold air because all the AC ducts are hot...my advise to you is take it to an AC shop...are you in Florida ??...it may be a little low on refrigerant and if that's the case you have a leak...that will have to be rectified before adding refrigerant !!
