P1870 code

Got this code. Transmission revved a little in between shifts. Is my newly built trans toast already? Is there anyway to know without tearing the transmission down? Thanks

Harsh 1-2 shift can set this code, I would clear it and hope it doesn't come back, worn valve body in transmission may be the problem, and I don't think there is anyway to diagnose without having to pull tranny.

You didn't mention the gear change in your initial post, that will most certainly cause that code, your tunner should be able to disable that code.
