Ah- that makes sense it could be that.
perhaps I’ll cope with it vs pouring money into that. Or perhaps I’ll put the car on jack stands in the driveway to get it up high enough that a cat thief could slide under it- lol
Bad cats would cause this rotten egg smell all the time, it is the power enrichment that causes this smell. My 97 coupe would do the same thing everytime I drove it hard.

Respectfully disagree. In the case of my truck, low RPM allowed the cats to do their thing. High RPMs overwhelmed the catalytic process. It's impossible to diagnose on a forum, but almost every brand of vehicle come up if you do a search for "egg smell under hard acceleration" with the same diagnosis. Adding to that what my personal experience has been, and it points to cats. My 2004 did not smell like eggs ever. Not at idle, not at WOT so unless my car was a freak, I would not say that smell is normal.

To each his own, I am only speaking of my personal experience with my 97, and after supercharging and of course new tune,, my car no longer has that funky smell after being driven hard, "boost".
