I am unable to open the trunk on our 1999 FRC. I have tried the button on the dash and have tried both my FOB's. Nothing! I know there is a manual release; however, have a divider between the the trunk and passenger's compartment. Removing this is to get in the trunk is not a viable alternative. I know that there is a relay, and there is a fuse; however, do not know the exact location/numbers of either.
As with most everything on our Vette - there is a simple solution once you know it.
I don't want too haphazardly start pulling things apart and replacing parts in hopes of hitting on the right solution; however, want to solve the problem. Ironically, there is nothing in the trunk that is urgent.
I hear absolutely no noise when using the key FOB- I tried both - and the button on the dash.
I am unable to use the manual opener. I have the partition installed between the seats and the trunk. It has the amp as well as all the wiring for my amp mounted to it. In order to reach the manual in the trunk I will have to unwire the amp as well as remove everything. For these reasons I would like to be able to get the key FOB's and dash button to work.
I know there is/are fuses as well as a relay; however, I am unsure of the location numbers and if they in the fuse box under the hood or in the car.

Click on the image that SlowandoldTexan attached - there's a picture of the schematic. Relay # 39 and fuse # 26. Both are in the fuse box inside the car.
