Well I spoke to soon, replaced the defective battery with a new one and thought all would be good but ......
As soon as I had everything buttoned up, again, nothing, no lights, no crank, nada ???
Thoughts / suggestions as to where to check next ??
battery cut-off switch would not allow the side battery cable to seat and make proper contact
I heard that same story from Lyle@C&S Corvettes. The customers C5 had been to the dealer, and another shop, and neither could figure it out. This was the brass style with a **** you tighten to make the connection, and loosen it to disconnect. Is yours the same style? Glad you fixed it.......

You would think that a competent repair shop would see that the OEM battery cable wiring had been altered, and start there. Which is exactly what C&S did. Had it solved in less than 10 minutes!! One dealer, and one repair shop had their shot at it, and both failed miserably. Bet they didn't fail to collect on the labor charge, though!!
