I started getting the ABS/Traction Control fault code with every start-up. I removed and took apart the EBCM to repair the notorious bad solder joints in the module.
What I found, once inside, was an open coil in the relay. I searched the relay part number at the Digi-Key website and found that it's an obsolete number and no longer stocked.
Does anyone know of another active source for the relays, or of a part number that supersedes the obsolete relay part number?
What is the part number you have? I did mine over 10-12 years ago and I think I had to buy a min of 5 of them, so I may have left overs if I can find them. Just need to verify part number you are looking for.

Thanks for the link you provided. That is the exact part number of the original EBCM relay. I sent a PM to gpracer1, who has located a few extra relays from a previous purchase.

I've found DigiKey to be an excellent source of all types of electrical/electronic parts and to be extremely helpful should you choose to talk to someone there. It might be possible to get a replacement part with a different part number but with the same form factor (meaning the outer dimensions/pin layouts are the same as the original) by speaking to a representative. I'd give it a try if I needed an out of stock/manufacture original part . . . .

FWIW
Having previously purchased some door lock/unlock relays from Digi Key, I did what you just suggested over a month ago. They came up with a DigiKey stock number PB2029-ND as being a suitable replacement. At that time, these relays were on back order untill mid August.
Recent delivery updates received from them have further extended that initial back order waiting time to October.
A special thanks to Forum member gpracer. I received a relay in the mail from him yesterday, and finally in the process of getting my EBCM back together.
I reinstalled the ECBM, and then went for a test ride.
The warning lights at every start-up are now gone. I was also able to clear the C1214 code after installing the new relay.
Thanks to all who responded! Was good to see this!

Looks like OP got off for a helluva lot less than $150. If mine takes a dump, you can bet your *** I'll at least try and fix the thing. How do you think the pros got to be pros? Bravo Quicksilver for methodically finding and fixing the problem.
