Does anyone know the part number or official part description of the fuel pressure check valve? My car will fire up instantly most of the time, but if it sits overnight I have to turn the engine over for half a second and turn the key again for it to fire up instantly. I'm confident that it's related to the fuel pressure dropping off slowly over a 12 hour period. It's a very minor issue, but I'd like to address it if possible.
Where is the fuel pressure check valve located and how difficult is it to replace?
What year is your car? I believe the check valve is part of the fuel pump that's in the fuel tank. I have seen threads like this pop up. I will say my car does the same thing ONLY if my battery tender is not hooked up. My battery needs to completely charged for it to start on 1 turn of the key.

The car is a 2004. I replaced the battery in December 2019, but I know these cars tend to go through batteries quickly. You may be on to something, so I'll check the battery voltage tonight and see if it's time for a replacement. The car sitting overnight and not firing up may be a symptom of a battery that's not putting out quite the juice it needs to.

It could also be leaky injectors causing an over rich condition. Try this; next cold start, turn the key to run, then back off. Do this cycle, run to off, maybe 3 times. The fuel pump should activate, then shut off, each time. Then try starting it. You should be able to fire it up first crank. If it doesn't, and you have leaky injectors, you probably have flooded it somewhat. If it fires right up, then perhaps the fuel is bleeding back through the pump. Worth a try, and good luck... .
