I just bought my first well anticipated C-5 a 98 model. The car ran good on the trip home. It ran continued to run fine (warm weather). Then couple days later the weather was cold, started the car up that morning and it idled real rough and when in gear barely wanted to run. Let it warm up for 15 minutes or so and then it ran like a charm. Took it to the local Chevy place and had them look at it. The cleaned everything, changed fuel filter, said I had one bad oxygen sensor and changed, etc. The next day still cold the started and idled a little bit better for 1 day but since then if and only if it is cold outside the car idles real bad until warmed up. One time the check engine light came on looked in owners manual and it stated this could happen if prevoiusly changed fuels. I dont know what the previous owner ran in it but me only 93 octane, so I gave one full tank of gas. Then filled it up again hoping that was the problem. Light only stayed on for one day(continous - not blinking). It is kept in the garage so even when real cold outside its not as cold in my garage. When I first start it the gas fumes from the exhaust are real strong. Any ideas or suggestions what would cause the car to run so poorly when it is cold outside and not when warm?
