P1635 [Solved]
Accompanied by P0522.
This is one with limited posts and not many people close out with results. So I figured I’d post my experience with it.
7/20/2022 my c5 z06 was getting tuned. A very hot day. Fortunately the tuner was able to flash the car with a solid tune at 10psi right before the car had an issue; preventing us from turning the car up any farther.
When the issue started - Upon startup, the vehicle would idle Extremely rough and barely run. Non-responsive to throttle input. NOT showing any type of limp mode on the dash. The tuner pulled the aforementioned codes.
Before the car arrived home by flatbed, I had a little time to do some research. I had planned to use the (attached) document to diagnose the vehicle. But before I started really digging into the car, I wanted to psychically look at the oil pressure sensor and wiring.
A previous owner cut a hole in the fiberglass panel beneath the wiper cowl, for easy access to the MAP and OPS. So I removed the wiper cowl and found that the three wires for the OPS sensor had melted together.
I unplugged the sensor and the problem completely went away. I plan to install an aftermarket OPS gauge and insulate the wires with DEI wire sleeve.
Good luck!
