Dim Climate Control unit, no A/C

Just got another C5Z, no A/C. Could a dim climate control unit (from bad solder) that has dimmed to the point it's now just a blank screen, cause the AC compress to no come on? The fan control does work. I'm about to pull it apart to re-solder this weekend but wondering if I have another issue. AC has charge.
Edit: found out the issue DTC code b0361, I'm stuck with the heater on and need a new actuator.

No, you probably have the bad connections on the chips. The solder needs to be reflowed.

I doubt that problem would affect the compressor.

Thanks it appears I'm pulling my center console and radio/hvac controls and re-soldering, then pulling the gauges to access the drivers side actuator and replace it.

Do both actuators while your in there. The other one is just as old and ready to take a crap as soon as you put it all back together
