How do you remove the front black door triangle pillars? I have a clean parts car 00 that has good black triangles on the front door my 99 have slight damage and are cracked on the corners. I attached photos of what im talking about. You can see the first two pics my 99 has a broken tip on the top corner and my drivers side has some scarring. Im trying to swap the 2 good ones from the 00 parts car to my 99. Is the 00 convertible windshield the same as all c5 corvettes just no antenna or whichever which is also in the hatch of the base c5. My 99 got 2 hail damage chips 3 months ago during a hail storm i had posted pictures. I think the window trim is discontinued just the install adhesive glue and the old trim has to be reused when i last read about some guy swapping windshields.
Thanks for the help yes i got them both swapped on my 99 base c5 from the 00 parts car convertible. The triangle pillars are also the window trim. Just pop off the weather strip and a few screws and t15 torx. Both mine were in bad shape the 00 were in good condition i swapped both but still make for good pillars to make a car look complete. It looks like the targa top and convertible may share the same 1 piece window seal that goes from the pillars around the top of the windshield.
It got rid of the grooves in the triangle and windshield edge trim.
