I am putting in an oil cooler set up, but want to retain the DIC oil pressure reading, and unfortunately improved racing's adapters are out of stock until the end of the year. I'm running some events next month and need a quick fix. There are tons of 1/8npt sensors out there, but none have the same resistance band so the readings won't be accurate. I may try an adapter to fit the big ole gm sensor, but have doubts again about the accuracy if the sensor is pushed back. There is always the extra gauge option, but I'm not there yet. Any ideas appreciated.
Been running a Standard Motor Products PS-309 for years in a relocation setup. It's listed for a Buick and is brass with 1/4 inch NPT.
It works the same as the original one did.
Went through this a few weeks back when I was about to pull the trigger on their kit (never did). In my research I found that the Standard Motor Products #TX73 (used in some 90s Saturns) has the same resistance as the one in our cars. Bad part is that it uses some weird connector.
I had also found another one that could work, but forgot who offered it. Wasn't plug and play either though. Will update my post if I can find it.
UPDATE: Pretty sure this is the other one I had found: https://controls.is/shop/MiniTempSensor
Not plug and play either, but it at least includes a connector.
thanks, but this is a pressure sensor, I'm hunting for a temp sensor

Thanks, but this too seems to be a pressure setup.

I'm not worried about splicing a new connector but with the resistance readings that different from oem, it looks like it will show inaccurate readings.
Thank you all for your help. I may just be going to an aftermarket gauge that comes with its own sensor.
We were able to source around 150 connectors from Delphi, so we will have a limited number of sensors back in stock within the next 3-4 weeks. After that, we may not have them again until next year, but we are still looking for other solutions. We will likely stock some sensors without connectors so customers can splice them in themselves as well.

Does this mean that the C5 kits will come back in stock again or is there a shortage of some other component?

The other part that keeps going out of stock is the oil cooler. We were having trouble getting enough supply of components needed to build coolers to meet demand, especially after being out of stock for months. However we should have another batch of coolers ready sometime next week. We are working hard to get ahead of demand and have stable inventory.
Once we have coolers in stock, you will be able to order, but it will ship without the sensor. If you want a sensor, just contact us when they are in stock and we will send you one for free.
