Default Cigarette Lighter Receptacle

So I was attempting to plug my new CTEK battery charger into the cigarette lighter receptacle. DISCLAIMER: I am mechanically disinclined. So I'm guessing most of you would have removed the protective collar from the CTEK cigarette lighter adapter before attempting this move. I did not (see above disclaimer). Not having a hammer at hand, I just kept pushing until I forced the cigarette lighter receptacle to pop down into the dash netherworld. I'm pretty sure a dealer could remedy this problem for less than $85,000. Anyone have an alternative idea? [Yes, I know I can connect the CTEK directly to the battery but I'm too lazy for that.] (2004 C5)

Take the radio bezel off and put the female end of the cigarette lighter back in place.

Only need a 10mm socket and torx bit.

It's a free fix that will save you about $85,000
