Default Is this ticking normal?

My car was making this noise after a 30 minute drive. Oil temps were about 219, and oil pressure was sitting at 29 psi. Is this normal?? It seems to just about completely go away once I bring the rpm’s up. Just kind of concerning to me

Maybe my laptop speakers aren't the best but I can't hear any ticking in that video. If it's really subtle then it's probably not a cause for concern. Does it seem pretty obvious in person?

it seems to randomly come and go. It’ll sometimes do it when it’s cold, sometimes it won’t. It’ll sometimes do it when it’s warm, sometimes it won’t. It’s not very loud, however it is noticeable if you stand by the wheel well or if you are sitting in the car with the door open

How long has it been since the oil was changed? I am no LS1 expert but I've seen old oil cause slight sounds like that. I have also heard of people adding Lucas oil additive to resolve sounds like that but I'm not a fan of additives, personally. I'm not saying that Lucas will hurt anything, but a healthy engine should not need additives in my noob opinion.

Well, then I don't have anything more to add. Hopefully someone with more LS1 experience will chime in, but I have a feeling it's nothing to worry about.

LS engines tick sometimes, especially when cold. No problem.

The distinct tap on cold start ups could be piston slap. Especially when you said it slowly goes away when it warms up . If it’s a bad enough to cause wear on your piston , you’ll see aluminum flakes in your oil filter medium when you cut it open.
