Default O2 Sensor Code P0161???

I pulled first code today? But when I pulled the code, I had a H & C. Never has check engine light come on before. Do I reset and see if it comes back on? Unfortunately at specialty Vette shop now because it started after I took it in for something else, coincidental? (original is was starting issue)

How can you tell if it's one or both sensors? Do I ask for them to return if I ask them to replace?

P0161 HO2S Heater Performance Bank 2 Sensor 2. I would check the connector at that sensor and if it is OK clear it and see if it returns

I’m looking at Alldata for a ‘97 and it is Bank 2 Sensor 2 which is passenger side and the sensor aft of the CAT…it is a specific O2 sensor and only one and it is the “heater” circuit of the sensor which may be defective…your Corvette shop should know how to diagnose this in less than 5 minutes…they should be checking for power to the heater circuit and ground and measure the resistance of the sensor…should be 3.5 to 14 ohms…I had an 01 Toyota Tundra in my home garage yesterday for a similar DTC and it had a good power and ground however the sensor read open (OL) when checking its resistance…a quick diagnosis.

At first, I gave the DIC code to the specialty vette shop. Then, the next morning they called me back and asked if I wanted to replace the O2 sensors because that was the code!!! I followed your advice and told them to check the sensor and reset the code. So far it has not come back on!!!!! Thank you!!!
