drivers door wont open

Default drivers door wont open
2005 base convertible I have replaced the touch pad, door latch and inside button. door still will not open. help?

Regardless that your car is a C6, can you open the door from the inside? If you can open the door from inside the next step is to pull the door panel off.

it will only open by the emergency cables

That's good to hear, you have to remove the door panel to find out what's wrong.

Well sometimes you can just fire the parts cannon at a problem and sometimes you just have to do some troubleshooting. Sounds like the door is locked since you can't open the door with the door handles, there are two electrical connectors in the rubber boot between the door and car that over time can develop bad connections.
