I just installed a new Blackwing along with a carbon fibre airduct on my '03. Coupe. As I'd hoped the result was favorable... noticeably more poop!
However, when I pulled back into the garage I noticed that the front edge of the hood is about 1/8" higher than the front end. I'm pretty sure it wasn't that way before.
I think the air duct is sitting too high & holding the hood up. There's almost 3/4" of clearance under the curve of the duct. It looks like I may have to shorten the front coupling hose between the MAF & Blackwing to bring the whole assembly forward & down a little.
Any other ideas or something I've overlooked ???
Thanks in advance. I've been helped out a couple of times here on the forum & I'm still trippin' over how helpful some of you guys are. I appreciate it. Hopefully I'll be able to answer someone's questions eventually... :smash:
Just put a BW on mine and had the same problem. I sprayed a little silicone spray on all the grommets (2 front of BW, and 2 at airbridge) and it seated easily and the problem went away. :thumbs
