Hi guys I have a 1997 C5 with a stock 350. My Dad put the battery on a charger since it was dead and didn't unhook the negative on the battery...anyway I think it fried the PCM or the TAC... I have replaced the TPS already thinking I would get lucky and that was the problem. It was not... I am getting these codes P1120, P1125, P1220, P1221, P1275, P1276, P1280, P1285, P1516, and P1571. Most of these are reoccurring codes... with that many and most talking PCM stuff I am thinking a new ECM/PCM, it has no throttle response at all but starts and runs... says its in "limp" mode on the dash... so my 2 questions are #1 do you think I am thinking correctly here and #2 if I am where would you send the TAC and ECM/PCM to be fixed or would you just get new parts that are pre programmed for my particular VIN number and if buying or sending where would be the best place to buy/send it ... Any help would be much appreciated
Most alarms are TAC related alarms except P1571 which is EBCM- PCM related .
If someone with a Tech2 or similar could check these signals it could may provide more info ..
My guess at the moment is that the TAC module could be gone but not the PCM
I think you need to get a used one because new ones does not seems to be available anymore
