I already tried to search here and got nothing, so it’s a new post.
My LH outside mirror has started to delaminate. It has the auto dimming heated mirror.
I’d like to know what others have done to fix the problem. There’s a company that makes the exact shape mirror glass but it does not auto dim.
The price for a new mirror including the mounting/electrical connections is over $300 which I don’t want to spend.

I had the same problem two months ago and bought GM replacement mirror # 12530715 for $114.00 including shipping. This is a new mirror without the auto dimming feature.

I've done the same thing before on another c5 I had. Only the price was $ 65 back then . LOL
With tinted windows, I did not need the dimming feature. You just need to know which wire is the dimmer and which is the heater and leave the dimmer one out. That's if I remember correctly of what I've done.

Best price I’ve seen is $94 so far. The dimmer models have 3 wires and the nons have 2. I never thought the dimmer did anything anyway.
I assume the ones you guys replaced had the backing to the glass so you can snap it in after connecting the wires? Thats the way the guy in the video did it.
Thanks again
I know it says SSR but it is the same as the Corvette you just don't have to pay the Corvette tax. Your choice on replacing the mirror for $160 or covering it and having more money other things.

yes, comes with the backing plate and snap it in after connecting the wires like the video shows. Maybe I had beginners luck but I did not have a problem getting all the tabs lined up and snapping it in place. Was much easier than I was expecting. Only took 15 minutes.
