2002 350,AT Car has been running great but check engine light came on. DIC showed a PO160 HC. I think that code shows 02 sensor. What should I do next to solve problen. Also oil pan had a gasket change the same day this happened, not sure if related. Thanks, Bob
Your O2 sensors are biased with approx 450mV .The oxygen (O2) sensor varies the voltage from approximately 1,000 mV when the exhaust is rich, through approximately 10 mV when the exhaust is lean.
The HO2S signal voltage is steady between 409 mV and 489 mV and All conditions present for 2 minutes and 30 seconds sets the DTC .
DTC P0160 HO2S Circuit Insufficient Activity Bank 2 Sensor 2 (Rear sensor on passenger side).
If you don't have access to a diagnostic tool , you may switch both rear sensors and see if the DTC move to the other bank
This scanner screenshot below from my car show how the the bank 1 &2 front sensors voltages switch correctly after the engine is starterted and enter closed loop while the bank 1&2 rear sensors got steady high due to the cats are removing the oxygen in the exhaust (rich condition due to removal of oxygen)
