Default Traction Control Button Issues

Symptoms:
Pressing the traction control button does nothing
Holding down the button for 5/10/15/20 seconds does nothing

Diagnostics:
- [GOOD] Checked continuity from BCM pin D15 to traction control switch pin (BRN/WHT)
- [GOOD] Checked continuity from traction control switch pin (BLK) to drive kick panel ground
- KOEO Checked voltage at switch pin at traction control (BRN/WHT) 0 volts (I don't know what voltage should be read here if any)
- Switched traction control button to another used button (claimed tested but not known if good switch)
- When unplugging the BCM connector and replugging the car cycles between the trac control settings
- No codes relating to TC

Things to do:
- Get a known working switch from another car and test

Questions:
- Should I be reading voltage at the traction control pin
- What else should I be looking for

Thanks everyone for your input!

What year C5. In the early models it was an option, so if you don't have the option, no competitive mode. Sorry, thought you meant competitive mode, not total failure, you should be able to take traction control off no matter what year.
