Weird engine noise
Seems a bit better when it's warm, but it's done it since I've had the car (six months), and I suspect it's done it for a long time. My assumption is that it's related to the lifters, and I've heard others speak of similar (but not heard clips to match up that description), but it could well be something else.
I've yet to really exercise my Corvette (it's a longer-term project), but once I've got it back on the road I'm going to give it a good thrash and if the noise persists, I'm tempted to try some Wynns valvetrain cleaner, get it hot, put some miles on it, and then change to a different oil again, maybe a 5W-40. I don't think the grade of oil is really a factor, though, but I'm just nosing around until I find something that the engine seems happiest on.
I'd raise a slight eyebrow at putting a 10W-60 in, though. I mean, that's 100 per cent more viscous when hot than the OEM spec. That's a lot of extra work for the oil pump, and bound to introduce a few other losses, too.

There’s going to be some valve train noise anyway, but it will be less.
