need some speed

i have a bone stock 01 convertible from california with highway gear and automatic very slow at lower speeds was thinking of a tune to brighten it up it just needs some fire down below as most of my driving is rural to outer city driving some people suggest changing ring and pinion to 3/90 or cam change i would like to get away with tone from vette shop what do you guys think
