Default Blower Motor Relay Location

I've searched, but can't find where exactly the Blower Motor Relay is located. In the Pass side area near the BCM, or near the switch for the fan at the control panel ?

It looks like you have a 2000 (good idea to fill out your profile)…no relay as you can see in the picture…only a fuse, HVAC Control Module, Processor, and blower motor.

It is a 2000. Manual control. My diagram from the shop manuals show a Blower Motor Relay in addition to the Module. The relay is before the switch and power from #51 fuse

The top diagram is what shows in my GM Manual, pg 1-160. The blower switch does nothing and there is no power to the blower control module. There is one relay above the BCM that was removed as per the instructions when I installed a LCM5 column lock by-pass. It did not say to re-install it. That is the only one I see above the BCM

Have no idea of why the relay would be removed for the LMC5 install ????…column lock not associated with blower motor.

I don't know if the one removed was for the col. lock motor, or for the blower motor. It was the only one I can see that is located above the BCM. I'll look again at the LCM5 instructions to see if had something to do with the power to the Col lock motor

Just refer to the wire colors of the relay if you’re not sure.

My car had two relays above the BCM. One is removed for the Column lock but the other stays. Not sure that helps but that is what my 2003 Z has.

There should only be two relays above the BCM, one is the column lock, the other is the TDR, sometimes referred to as the starter enable relay, it has four wires two smaller gauge yellow wires and two heavier gauge wires a red and violet.

Problem solved. I pulled the wrong relay. Didn't see the other 2 are they were crammed in above the BCM. Thanks for the help
