Default Speakers/amp

I have had my headunit in my 2003 convertible swapped out with a double din Pioneer unit. My next goal is to change out the speakers with Kickers. I have talked with 2 different installers and one says that I can still use the Bose amp instead of getting different amp. The other says it will not be compatible. Who is correct?. If I have to replace the amp where have other convertible owners placed it where it doesn't overheat or tale up too much of my limited space. Also any recommendations for a smaller amp. Thanks...

The Bose amp is built in to the door speakers...can't be used for powering anything else
