Starter does not get the juice?

You'll have to check power at the solenoid and see if it's getting the signal. You can tap the starter with a hammer but be careful if you decide to try that. Tech section would get you better answers and the moderator is very knowledgeable.

The purple wire is accessible at the TDR above the BCM in the passenger footwell area. The TDR is the relay that sends power to the starter solenoid. One quick test to help determine what is causing the no cranking is to place a medium gauge wire jumper between the red and purple wires at the TDR socket, CAUTION make absolutely sure the car is in Park or neutral if it is a manual as this bypasses the safety switches. This will help determine if the starter solenoid is at fault. Check your battery cables and the cables at the starter making sure they are tight and clean.

Another recent thread stated that after changing the stater, it still didn’t work. The OP said he pulled out both pos and neg wiring and sanded the contacts, reinstalled, and voila! It worked fine.
