Hurst Shifter Question
I am posting this for a friend of mine. He recently installed a Hurst short shifter and his reverse lights do not come on when put in reverse. What would cause this to happen. We did everything by the book. Thanks in advance for any information you can provide.

Are the adjustable stop screws still in the shifter? If so, try backing out the forward one (1-3-5-R) until the lights come on in reverse, or even remove it entirely (my choice, the internal stops in the tranny will take care of limiting shifter movement)

Does reverese work at all on the car? If you put in the stops remove them and give it a try. If reverse works on the car it sounds like the problem would be somewhere else.
