Throwout Bearing vs. Normal Neutral Rattle Difference?
Can someone explain the difference in noise or feel between a bad throwout bearing and the supposedly normal neutral rattle in M6 cars? I have an 02 vert that has the neutral rattle. When the car is cold, I get the rattle with the car in neutral and foot off the clutch. Push in the clutch pedal, noise stops. Once the car is fully warmed up, I don't hear the noise anymore. I just want to know what would be different if it was the throwout bearing.
