Default Modifying the Air Flow...

I'm going to get the ZO6 kit off of LAPD and probably cut it a lil like someone else did recently. Looked nice he had round holes in it...

Anyway, I was going to take out the MAF screen as well and maybe even bore out the MAF sensor. Now I remember when I bored out the MAF on my truck people later said that it was known that if you do that is actually reducues performance since the motor is taking in more air but the MAF sensor cant correct for it.

I personally thought this was BS since I installed a K&N intake, took out the MAF screen and bored the sensor as well as cutting the restrictor plate on my Truck. I noticed a big gain in power, my truck always killed all other S trucks as well. So I know this was a good gain. How does this work on the Vettes people say the samething or what?

Also are the MAF sensors the same size in GM cars...

I agree on the MAF..pull the screen!! But the Z06 kit is really not nearly as effective as the VORTEX, Halltech etc...Just my .02 :skep:

The kits you mentioned are they kits that actually get cold air from outside the car? If so then yeah they work better but if there under the hood like the box and if I cut it I dont see where there would be a difference...

Wait there would be one... My wallet would be full still

Honestly I just cant justify spending the amount of money on some of these systems when you can pretty much do it yourself for so much less... Just my thinkin... :yesnod:
