Default P0650 & p0463

Hey guys, I have a weird situation going on. My fuel tank gauge is tripping out, goes to low fuel and says check engine.

upon checking the codes I see these two codes P0650 & P0463.

It started happening within 50 miles of me trying something yesterday morning. My friend told me I could pull the Fuel pump relay to not get my car stolen because I am visiting Mexico for Xmas. Anyways, I tried that and the car started and I quickly turned it off and tried starting again and it wouldn’t start without the fuel pump relay

i put it back and the car runs and everything but on the way to Mexico my fuel guage started tripping, going from actual fuel level to empty and vice versa

i checked all fuses, and swapped relays from horn and the fuel pump relay and same thing.

also, my fuse box smells of burnt. I have no idea what’s going on.

Seems like P0650 is check engine light, my check engine light does not illuminate at all, not on ready nor when trying to start. Seems dead

i can drive the car no issues at all besides the low fuel, when I reset the codes using the DTC, it shows me the real actual fuel level but within a minute fails again.

anyone have any clue what I have done?

my friend said removing the pump relay shouldn’t do anything bad lol

welp

Welcome to the Forum !!...can you please fill out your profile so we know what year car, your mods, or a tune if you have one....the P0650 can either be a bad PCM (PCM is not supplying the ground to illuminate the MIL, a burned out bulb, or the wiring...the P0463 can be either the fuel level sensor or wiring...that's about the best we can do...removing the relay would have no effect on either DTC.

Here is the wiring of your Check Engine Light

Problem within your driver side wirings including sender assembly is probably causing your P0463 code .
If you have access to as scanner or are able to measure the input voltage to the PCM C2:54 and C1:23 it should be lower then 2.9 volt .
Your senders are top mounted as the image below shows but maybe you can access the sender wirings on driver side andre measure the sender signal .
