I have a pioneer avid 8200 nex I believe. Put the gps antenna in the left trunk well opposite the antenna. CarPlay or android auto works better and always updated.
I highly recommend the Pioneer NEX units. I have the AVH-W4400NEX and it has worked great. Wireless Android Auto and Apple Carplay are nice to have as well.
Hey all, I'm doing some modest thinking of adding a Double Din to my 04. I hate (hate) the idea of splicing wires and electrical mods. Is there a system that will just plug into the factory set up-- literally plug and play-- or am I resigned to cutting the harness?
Hey all, I'm doing some modest thinking of adding a Double Din to my 04. I hate (hate) the idea of splicing wires and electrical mods. Is there a system that will just plug into the factory set up-- literally plug and play-- or am I resigned to cutting the harness?
Here's what I used. The only splicing you will need to do is from the head unit connector to the Axxess amplifier interface. No need to cut anything on the existing wiring harness.
I added a few more components, but these parts will get you what you need and will work well with the existing speakers if you're not ready to change them out yet.
I've got my backup camera hooked up for normal use. I was thinking of adding a second one for the nose for parking but remain undecided. Also considering adding a switch in-line for the reverse trigger for science purposes....to watch people when they're losing....
