I'm installing Auxito LED's in my 2003 Z06, P/N 9006/HB4 and 9005/HB3. Just wondering if anyone has used these, and might have any tips for the installation.
It'll be fine in a stock housing in that it will be brighter than stock and won't blind people as badly as the haters are gonna say they do. The pattern may be less than optimal though as they won't project light equally across all 360 degrees to then be reflected out of the housing. Don't be shocked though if the Chinesiums live a short life. I've never done a bulb on a C5, do they sit entirely inside the housing or does the back end get exposed to ambient air? Reason I ask is the plug area is where the fans and/or heatsinks are going to live and that will affect how long they last.
I have similar LED bulbs from another Chinese brand in my C5. They will work. The back end of the bulb is exposed to the air so you will have room for the fans and such. Since it is bulkier than the stock bulb it is harder to get the angle right when installing. Just be patient and you'll get it. They are brighter but almost anything is brighter than stock. It helped me see more at night and I don't get other drivers flashing their brights at me.
In factory housings? You'll need to get the model that has the adjustable lock ring. You'll want the LED chips to facing the 3 and 9 o'clock position. If not your low beam cut off won't be correct and you'll blind the hell out of people.
I run a set and the pop-up function works [without having to turn on the high beam] and I adjusted the lock rings so it has the proper beam pattern. I can't speak on how long they will last, because I don't daily drive the Vette nor drive at night a lot.
Thanks for all the input! I've decided to not install the led's and maybe down the road get the Sharplight Innovations headlight assemblies, which appear to
be the Hot set-up!

I put Vosla HIR 9012 bulbs in. You gotta trim one of the tabs on the bulb but otherwise it drops in. Nice improvement for $30 (on ebay) and because it is a filament bulb with the same watts as 9006 there are no issues. The brightness about double.

I think the SharpLight Innovations Product is the bomb.
The factory headlights are so bad i think the NTSB should have issued a recall.

This is very true. The factory headlights create a pattern designed to maximize the effectiveness of a weak 1000 lumen halogen bulb. That pattern doesn't change much when you install an HID or high output LED bulb, it just gets brighter. The additional output reveals the horrible pattern created by the lens resulting in increased glare (which not only blinds oncoming traffic, but hampers the driver's long-range vision) and the scatter from the pattern is highly distracting as well.
Compare that to our dedicated projector-based headlight system. Take a look at one of the comparison photos a customer sent: (Note, this is our older Bi-Xenon kit, our current LED projectors are even brighter.)

Auxito leds worked fine for me. Didn't need to spend all the money on all the housing replacement ideas that are out there. The other poster mentioned three to 9:00 but it should actually be vertical in the housing 12 and 6:00

you want the LED chips to be pointed at the 3 & 9.
