In mid 2008 GM started using the TR6060 transmission instead of the T-56. They are very similar and a lot of parts interchange, but the short answer is the TR6060 is stronger.
I have not done the swap, but I know the TR6060 has different mounts. You either have to make new mounts or swap to a C6 rear cradle.

You should consider it if you're swapping to the TR6060 since 05-07 are the same as the T56 you currently have. There are 2 ways for the swap. We have built TR6060 that will bolt directly to the C5 diff or replace the trans/diff combination to 08-13 Z06 set up. The second option is more expensive but we have customers making well over 1,000 RWHP with that set up.
Question: on the C5, the mount goes on the diff. But on the C6 T56 I bought (that I'll convert for F body use), the extension housing appears to have provision for mounts. Did the C6 use both or opt to mount to the trans instead?

C6 uses the mounting from the side covers of the differential.
To the OP. If your current trans and diff are in working order you can easily sell them as a combo to offset the cost of a 6060/C6Z diff combo. Easy combo with that is to get a late version C6 rear cradle (late has 4 bolt holes, early only has 2 for diff mounting - allows different mounts to be used so the assembly fits with the C5 TT.)
I don't know current pricing. Two years ago I was able to get a base C6Z diff with hardened outputs for 900. I don't recall what I paid for the 6060 after being built and adding spray bars, but that was the pricy bit. I did also add a wavetrac to the diff which knocked the price up again too.
The 6060 is supposed to be stronger.
It absolutely shifts easier than the T56s I have known.... but maybe the T56s I have known are all dog-eared by now anyway.

You MUST use a C5 manual torque tube because the length are different. The C6 cradle has to be used and clearanced. Lastly, offset differential mounts to correctly locate the differential to cradle. We sell the offset mounts.
If you don't have coilovers, you must use the C6 rear lower control arms and spring.

I currently have the C6 harness, I guess that is not gonna work right? So I’m needing a C5 z06 harness, a C6 Cradle, and C5 z06 torque tube. I’m I correct? Thanks for the help I really appreciate it.

Correct. Also you'll need to acquire C5 shifter rod that connects the shifter base to the transmission.

I have a 2009 cradle, TR6060 and C6Z diff.
What mounts can I use?
I have Borla straight pipes and cut out the center tub. Will they need to be modified?
You have to use our offset differential mounts to make this conversion work.
When anyone buys are mounts, it comes with our support for the conversion. Let us know when you purchase/build and we can go over all the specs for modifying the exhaust.

Awesome! I’ll hop on your site and order them now.
