Steering Wheel Removal HELP
I have a 99 FRC and I had a custom steering wheel made. My performance shop has tried 3 puller and it won’t budge. Does anyone have any advice for the removal? Tricks or other solutions???

I tried removing mine with a socket wrench and had no luck, it even broke the puller.. I took the car to a shop and they used an air impact and it popped right off. Maybe it's the shock of the impact that works?

Just like pretty much anything you use a puller for, tighten it pretty good then tap the object you're trying to pull several times, tighten again, tap again, tighten again, yada yada. I seem to be one of the "lucky" ones, but mine popped right off after a couple rounds of doing that. There have also been folks that have had to rip the whole steering column out to swap it, soooo...best of luck!

Heat works for some applications but I think the 'vette has vulnerable plastic pieces so unlikely to be an option for you.

Like anything there is a special puller for this. I bought one but cant get to it now as I am moving and it's packed, but the arms look like this...
