Headlight issue

My headlight driver side goes down but it has a grinding nose that lasts a few seconds any ideas?

Sounds like the plastic gears are or are going bad. Mine has done this for a while. Eventually I will tear the motors apart and rebuild them, but they still go up/down so I have been lazy.

Sounds like a new motor is needed or replace the gears in the current motor.

ok so I found that the same headlight motor was peculiarly replaced by a dealer I’m going to look into this more thanks

Dealer told me yesterday that the motor will be warrantied excellent news

Wow !!…since recently joining the Forum you’ve been having a bunch of issues with your car between wheel bearings and headlight motors !!…BTW, as a new member it’s a good idea to fill out your profile so if you have more issues down the road if we know what model year, mods etc we can help you better !!…happy motoring !!
