A/C compressor removal from the bottom?

A/C compressor removal from the bottom?

Is it possible to remove the A/C compressor from the bottom? I've got coilovers so the leaf spring isn't in the way. I know it normally comes out the top, but I'd rather not deal with the mess.

If you google “corvette c5 ac compressor removal” you’ll find every post known to man (and woman) about how to get the compressor out

I’m not seeing anything easy through the bottom

If you take the manifold off it'll come out without messing with the coolant lines or pump. Otherwise, I can't see it coming out. Spring isn't in the way.

headers will have to come off, too
