Default Dead petal mod
Not sure why, but the dead petal has always been just too far away to reach comfortably. Here's an easy mod that looks a ton better than gluing in a 2 x 4. Just ordered an aluminum cover from Corvette Central and added 1" spacers:

That looks solid.

I'm still certain I can break it, even if only by snapping it at the plastic end.

Though sitting here I realize I typically don't use the ottoman at all when driving.
