The seller of the C5 that I have purchased replaced the fuel pump module due to intermitted failure. He had a shop do it and the paperwork shows a part number of 66079. Shop says it came from the dealer....I assume he means a Chevrolet dealer.? I have looked and looked and not found any reference to a 66079 GM/Delco fuel pump module. I did find a Bosch one, but does not fit a 2004 Corvette.
The numbers I find are 19420858 or 19420859.
If you go to Amazon with the part number you gave, it gives the oem number in the cross reference table. When you look up that number, its for a 03 to 04 corvette even though Amazon says it doesn't fit a corvette.
I went to Amazon, entered "66079" , got the Bosch fuel pump and then a really cheap one ($55.99). Grabbed the OEM part number for each, searched, but never got anything that showed for a 03, 04 Corvette.
Also went to the AC/Delco Store using the" 66079" number....did not find a "66079" fuel pump.
I called the shop that did the work and of course they said it came from the dealer, told me that the "66079" was what was on the box, price was $650!!
At this point, I will just hope that it was the correct pump and I do not have to re-do once it arrives.
Thanks for the replies.
