TransGo question
Next week I'm having a sy3500 T/C and TransGo kit installed. I know there are 3 washers/spacers that can be used to tighten up the shifts. I also have read that most of you it seems are using 2 spacers.
My question is this: Can anyone describe the difference between just 1 and 2 spacers? My fear is 2 spacers will be too aggressive for dailey driving and 1 spacer won't justify the expense of installing the system.
Can anyone help me with these questions?
Vince, if you read this, I know you will have an answer.
Thanks everyone. :yesnod:

You will get used to it after a few minutes of driving.
You are so right..2 spacers is the way go. It's a perfect combo for the daily driver...You will really enjoy the control after the install. I would suggest that you be sure that you ask the installer to drill the 1st,2nd and 3rd gear feedholes a little larger than suggested by Transgo. They will know what to do...The bottom line will be a transmission that YOU can control the shifts..up or downshift, hold the gears for a longer period and great throttle response..:D
The first time I drove the car home from the install I had a smile the whole drive home..I even took the long way!!..Once you feel comfortable with the transmission you will be launching with authority and and having fun driving your new car like a 6 speed..Enjoy! This is what the A4 should have felt like from GM..
If you have any specific questions feel free to e-mail me or my transmission tech Steve Atkins of East Coast Transmissions fhere in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. You can reach Steve at eastco@bellsouth.net or call him at 954-772-3000..he's the best!!
so I would really notice the 1st to 2nd gear bump at low speeds,
but now I hardly notice. I certainly notice the WOT 1st to 2nd!!!!
