Stutter returns
I had a previous stuttering issue, but I installed a delphi AF10043 MAF in the car as a replacement which I don't think its very compatible with the Z06 computer.
When I replaced the MAF the stutter went away for about 3-4 months.
9 out of 10 times when I start the car I get service traction control system/ service abs. Sometimes when I start the car it doesn't come on at all.
I also notice that when I am warming up the car in the morning sometimes when it is very cold out my check engine light will flash and keep on flashing until I drive off. I typically have get the RPM's up to about 2000 for a few seconds, then the light will quit flashing and it won't come back on for the rest of the drive. Sometimes at random the car will jerk and stutter before accelerating, but the MAF has been replaced with a new delphi AF10043.
If the MAF is good what do you think is causing the stutter and jerkyness when accelerating.
I'm thinking maybe the delphi AF10043 is not compatible with the Z06 computer, but I don't know the oem model number I need for my car that will work properly. I typically put kroger fuel grade 93 in my car.

The car has been heavily modified by marc at vettenuts. The jerk and stutter happens randomly at different times. Somtimes the service traction control system and service abs comes on. Other times it does not.
Sometimes when the car is started the check engine light will flash while the car is in neutral idling, but as soon as I drive off and get the tach up to 2100+ the light will turn off and stop flashing. This light coming on and flashing is very random, but it does happen. When I looked at the codes there was P0300. I plan on switching to exxon 93 after this tank, but like I said the jerk and stutter is totally random. I always just buy kroger fuel, but maybe the car hates lower grade gas eventhough its 93.
Every single mechanic who has looked at the car has said the engine is in great shape for a 2001 with only 99,000 miles on it.
Below is a video with my DIC codes showing for diagnosis.

That is why there is a communication error to the left driver door. Luckily it stopped about right here, before it penetrated the firewall. As I was driving I saw a small amount of smoke from the door and immediately shut the car down.
Next I rushed to grab anything to diconnect the negative battery cable as quickly as possible. The smoke was coming from inside the door right where the two wires connect at the door jamb. Since I can't find anyone in nashville willing to fix this my only option has been to put shrink over it and seal it back up. As I said if I take it to chevrolet they will probably want to replace the entire wiring harness eventhough the wires are only singed 12 inches in and it didn't reach the interior plate.
I never would have expected this socket to short in the door, but it certainly did.
The fire burned itself out probably about 8-10 inches from the socket as you can see from the image above the plate wasn't melted at all.
Despite the fire that occured the door works, the windows roll up and down, but as you saw on the DIC there is some communication errors.
There is a real thin silver cable coming from this socket that appears to be broken off, but like I said the door works and functions.
Could the silver cable that got burned off at the socket or these wires being burned be causing the jerking or stutter? Would those wires that connect to the socket in the door, affect the cars ability to keep on running?
I don't know what this cable does, but its completely snapped off. Look at how small and thin that thing is.
