Possible interior fuse box issue
I did go back and check my work…fixed the ignition switch, pulled the cluster to clean the lens, radiator upgrade, motor mounts, plugs, wires, etc…upon reconnecting my battery, it barely started (as if it was about dead though I had it disconnected for weeks) and ran it up to temp to purge the air out of the radiator.
Once I shut it off the battery went completely dead within a couple minutes. I could watch it drain rather fast with a multimeter. So I put in another battery.
Same story.
Put the one back in that came with it.
Same deal.
I did some troubleshooting and realized this voltage drop stopped either out of the car or in the car with the interior fuse box disconnected completely. So I pulled all the circuit breakers and maxi fuses (still draws). Cable to the interior box tests fine as well.
I noticed the relays humming in the box so I’m going to have to assume something in the box went bad. Tomorrow I’m going to do more testing to try to confirm this. Is this common, and short of pulling every little fuse and relay to test it that way, is there a fix for them or do I get to have the fun of sourcing a replacement?
