Pulled the trigger....'vette with Speed Demon
Well, I finally gave in to all the peer pressure and handed my '98 C5 over to Chris at Speed Demon yesterday afternoon.
He'll be building and installing a more "beefier"/stronger automatic transmission, along with the TransGo shift kit, and B&M tranny cooler.
Underdrive pulley, coolant bypass, new plugs and socks, 3.42 gears, SY3500, TR 227/224 114 cam, TR/CNC Stage 2 heads, and of course LS1 edit and dyno tunned.
Just wish I had more $$ so I can do the headers too!
I'm going to go :crazy: with no 'vette to drive for the next week!

I am in the same situation. I am about to get the LPE Heads & an Xtreme custom grind cam. Unfortunately, I have been looking for a good set of used headers. . .but it looks like they will have to wait.
Please post the dyno results from this combo.

It was nice meeting you at Speed Demon the other day. I can't wait to hear the results of the work you are having done. When is your car supposed to be done? Let us know when you will be in town again and maybe we can get some local guys together to unvail the beast!

Congrats! :cool: :yesnod: Lots of new toys to play with indeed.......but as mentioned before "Nows the time to get headers installed", It'll save you $$$ and grief later on. Trust me, i did headers 1st then H/C 4 months later and lost out on about $400. :yesnod:

Not sure when Chris will have my car ready as he has to use my transmission for the rebuild. I'm assuming sometime next week. Once Chris lets me know, I'll post so we can make plans for a get together for all those interested.
Headers would be nice to add right now, simply don't have the funds. I'm hoping that by the end of next month I can install the FLP headers.

We're practically in each others "back yard". We'll have to meet up at RCR. From what I've been told by a few forum members who are in our area, you're hell on wheels and tough to keep up with! I'm sure we can twist several people's arms to join us (97C5ENVY, JmX, VetteNoob....):D
