After fighting with my Vette for over an hour today, is there any way to remove the front brake ducts without removing the inner fender liner or front fascia. I seem to be destroying them and I'm out of patience. Did a search here but found nothing....any help??
There is a panel under the car, in front of each front wheel well, held in place with six torx screws. Remove them, take out duct (Why?), and you are done. :hurray:
I have already done that. How do I pull the duct out withou bending it in half. I've tried compressing it like and accordian, but it still seems to be too long and wants to bend in half. What did everyone else do?
BTW, I'm changing my fog light housings to the vented type. I gave up on it last year because I couldn't get them out then either. Thanks for any help. :blueangel:
Take the fwd part of the duct and move it to the right or left which ever gives you more room fwd. Then push the rear part fwd threw the hole, take the side of the rear part and pull it out. It will bend a bit. I have had mine out quite a few time and have never broke them.
Raising a thread from 17 years ago I know, but woohoo, did exactly what was said here and problem solved. Thank you whoever posted and the forum to keeping this in the archives!!!
I know raising old threads is frowned upon, but it seems helpful to keep info on a given topic in the same thread. I hate having to check 10 different threads about the same issues. Just my opinion.
