Well I tried the screwdriver and hammer on the passenger window and it worked after a few taps with the hammer was able to do it myself with a pair of vice grips holding the screwdriver and moving the switch with same hand. Thanks for all the help. So what’s the secret to keeping it working? Does leaving the window down when not in use help ? Also usinthe window every time I drive it ?

So, the good news is that you have it working....for now. The bad news is that the window is sending you a message that it is on the way out. My suggestion is that you buy an assembly and "have it at the ready." I'd use it until it no longer works; that could be next week or 3 years from now. When it finally quits, you can repair the car on your terms and schedule.
No, it does not matter if you leave your window up or down.

My electrical engineer neighbor said that electric motors will sometimes develop 'dead' spots.on the internal rotor. He recommended 'exercising" the window especially in the Winter and avoid having the window 'lock' into the upper gasket. I followed his suggestions and have not had any further problem for several years.
Just fix it correctly. Buy a new window motor and regulator and be done with it. Not having a working window is annoying as **** and embarrassing when your passenger wants to get some air and you have to explain that the window doesn't work. Been there done that. All in your in for like $120 in parts. Its not a Maserati...it's a Chevy...Never take a 20+ year old Chevy to a Dealership if you don't like strange objects in your nether region
Replacing the window regulator is pretty easy to do, just beware there are a lot of crappy import window regulators out there... I know I replaced the crappy one someone put in my drivers side.

I had the same issue and started to do the "exercise" routine. I bought a window valet and drop the windows to let the heat out of the car. It has been at least 8 years since I last had an issue.
