Default Throttle position sensor

Hi guys, working on my buddies 2000 C5, bone stock.
The throttle position sense bolt holes do not line up with the shaft at rest in idle position. If I slide the sensor onto the shaft I have to twist it forward for the holes to line up. Even if I push the throttle blade completely closed and slide the sensor on the holes are still off. It had a new sensor on it when I started working on the car. I removed it and the center of the sensor was broken. Bought a new sensor for a C5, I slid it on the shaft and the holes were off so i twisted it forward so the holes line up and sure enough the center broke out of it too. I took the sensor apart and it only has a certain amount of travel and forcing it back breaks it. I took the TB apart and it looks fine.
Anyone have any ideas. Every tps I have ever installed slid right on and holes lined up. Thanks.

I’d make sure you bought the right TPS sensor…especially not off Amazon or EBay.

Default 2000 c5 tps

The one he has now came from advance. Looks just like the one I took off. With throttle blade at rest the holes are roughly 1/4 inch off. Going to try a specific Corvette parts house. Frustrating. Thanks.
