Default Electrical issue?

I've got two issues with my 2000 Corvette and I'm not sure if they are both connected or not.

1). EBCM sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. I know this is the old version that can't be fixed but it tends to work after the car sits for days without being driven. When it works it sometimes stays working for a few days but eventually I get the yellow lights telling me to service ABS/traction control. When it's not working it can get very annoying because every five minutes I hear ding, ding, ding, ding and the service traction control refreshes on my display.

2). Headlights were giving me the famous loud grinding noise when I shut them off. I know this is the gear and I've seen videos on how to replace them. This has been going on for awhile as I've been putting that on a back burner. About two weeks ago I went to turn off my headlights and the lights turned off but the headlight covers did not go down. I had to pop the hood and manually lower my popup headlights. The next day I checked to see if they would go up when I turned the lights on but they did not. The car sits for a week undriven and when I drive the car again the headlights are suddenly working again. They pop up and down fine for a few days and then suddenly they stop working again. The lights go on and off with the switch but they don't pop up or down.

Does this sound like maybe a grounding issue? I'm ordering a pair of headlight motors but I have a feeling this might not fix the problem. Anyone experience either of these before? If so, what was the solution?

Thanks in advance,

Start by using the C5 DIC to read the DTCs and report what DTCs are present. The EBTCM will surely report what is causing it to not work/be happy. NOTE-1 Read the DTCs when the EBTCM is having a spasm. When it errors out, without turning off the ignition, press and HOLD the RESET BUTTON until any messages in the DIC go away. Then query the DIC for any DTCs.
Report any DTCs present.
NOTE-2 If, you see TONS of old history DTCs, just reset ALL the DTCs in every module and then read the DTCs again when the EBTCM throws a fit! Could very well be something external causing the issue. Something as simple as low brake fluid! LOL!
